About Me
Hi! My name is Ren Daggitt and I am a professional dog walker based in Send, Surrey. I am fully insured and trained in canine first aid.
I am an enthusiastic and knowledgeable pet professional with a life-long interest in all things dog. I have my own dog, Pippin (pictured) a Field Spaniel, I volunteer at a local sighthound rescue, and I grew up with dogs and worked as a dog sitter in the school holidays. I have a keen interest in dog training and with Pippin have achieved Bronze and Silver awards in the Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme, attend weekly gundog training classes, and am working towards his Spaniel Grade 1. I am committed to ongoing CPD to expand my knowledge of dog behaviour and develop my skills as a handler.
I believe in the importance of breed-specific enrichment and endeavour that the walks I provide are never just a ‘walk in the park’! That means ample sniffing and exploring time, off-lead or on a long line, in safe, appropriate locations that provide environmental enrichment, and training and games that satisfy the instincts of particular breeds (for example, playing sheep ball for herding breeds or doing hunting games with terriers). Additionally, I am happy to continue with any training you are currently working on, such as recall or loose lead walking, so that your good progress is supported and reinforced.
Services
I offer the following standard services, on an ad hoc basis or permanent slots booked each week on an ongoing basis. Term-time-only permanent slots can also be arranged. If you have any other requirements not covered by the services listed below, please get in touch and I will see what I can arrange.
Group walks are for a maximum of 4 dogs.
I will collect your dog(s) from your home and either walk them in the local area or transport them in my car, which is fitted out with crash-tested crates in the boot and dog seatbelts on the back seats to ensure the safety of your furry family members. After an invigorating walk, I will return your dog rinsed and dried and ready for a good nap! I will also ensure they have enough clean water available.
